Adam Carlsen is a solo piano artist who loves to compose original pieces inspired by short, meaningful narratives. He also enjoys transcribing pieces for solo piano. With a background in classical music and a passion for storytelling, Adam's music is both emotive and captivating. His unique style has been praised by audiences and critics alike. Adam received his B.A. in Music from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and his M.M. in Music Composition from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  At Augsburg, Adam studied composition under Carol Barnett; at Northern Iowa, he studied under Dr. Jonathan Schwabe.  He has received two awards from the Golden Key Music Festival, held in Vienna, Austria.  In 2015, Adam received 2nd place for a piano composition for the left hand.  In 2020, he received 3rd place for a fantasia for solo piano. 

 

Adam plays the violin and piano.
